(T)Here is the brief essay entitled Hell and Vagueness by Theodore Sider. Sider establishes several assumptions and definitions early on and proceeds to argue via reductio ad absurdum that a just God would be inconsistent with the notion of Hell. Such a hot topic, of course, has led to a windfall of argument and several responses to Sider can be found here, here, and here. As you will immediately note, some responses are much stronger than others, and none seem to maintain the rigor Sider presents in his discussion. Still, Sider is not immune to criticism and despite my man-crush, if the argument is unsound (whatever that means in this context) then the man must be crushed...
