Reading for the fall 2012 semester. Suggestions?
So I have a few suggestions of possible reading, i would like anyone who has something they'd like to read to go ahead and post it as a reply and we can set up a poll like we did last semester. That previous poll can be seen at the bottom of the readings forum.
My suggestions are:
> Marx's Economic and Philosophic manuscripts of 1844
Wikipedia
Full text?
> Veblen's Theory of the Leisure Class
Wikipedia entry
I have read the first couple of chapters and it seems incredibly relevant after 113 or so years. it has been very enjoyable so far.
>Popper's Logic of Scientific Discovery
tiny wikipedia article
There were a few more I can't recall, but I am leaning pretty heavily towards economics and philosophy of science right now.
So, what do you think? what books (articles) would you like to throw in the discussion?

So those links are the same color as the text, but they are actual links not plain text.
I did also recall one more:
The Inexact and Separate Science of Economics by Daniel Hausman
again on the science and economics.
post your own ideas so you can read something other than philosophy of economics...

Introduction to Metaphysics
Heidegger looks like he will be the first topic this semester, but if you are *inclined* to read any of the other works concurrently, then I am sure we can form a few sub-groups for that purpose. Veblen looks interesting, but then again so does Popper....and Marx...We need a combo breaker...
